The Alinco DJ-S45T is a 440 MHz FM hand-held transceiver that offers a full range of features plus a choice of power options. It features an easy-to-read LCD display. Its rugged design is resistant to rain, dirt and dust. RF output is 2 watts with external 6 VDC, 1 watt with optional EBP-60 Li-Ion battery pack, 0.5 watt when operating from two alkaline AA cells or 0.4 watt when operating from two Ni-MH cells (batteries are not supplied).

The DJ-S45T comes with dry cell (2 x AA) case, belt clip, wrist strap and flexible SMA antenna. Only 2.24W x 3.86H x 1.17D inches (57x98x30 mm).
